Radioimmunotherapy (RIT) is a method for selectively delivering radionuclides to cancer cells while reducing the radiation dose to normal tissues. However, because of slow clearance of MAbs, normal tissues also received radiotoxicity. One of the promising strategies is linking on-demand cleavable (ODC) peptides between radiometal chelates and the t...

Four N-Fmoc protected polyoxyethylene-based amino acid type linkers were designed and synthesized for peptide derivatization in solid phase. Three of them were obtained in a crystalline form. The crystallized linkers can be stored at 4 degrees C for 2 years without significant decomposition. Protocols for biotinylation and fluorescent labeling of p...

Twenty-five N-demethylvancomycin derivatives were synthesized on solid-support and their structures were determined by LC-MS/MS. Biological evaluation of these compounds indicated that bulky hydrophobic substituent on vancosamine of N-demethylvancomycin can increase antibacterial activity against vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecalis.

Increased concentrations of secreted phospholipase A2 type IIA (sPLA2-IIA), have been found in the synovial fluid of patients with rheumatoid arthritis. It has been shown that sPLA2-IIA specifically binds to integrin αvβ3, and initiates a signaling pathway that leads to cell proliferation and inflammation. Therefore, the interaction between integri...

An enzyme labeling and screening strategy for the discovery of ligands selective in binding two structurally similar members of the aldo-keto reductase family of enzymes is reported. The resulting fluorescence microscope data obtained by screening a 74,088 member library led to the identification of selective ligands for aldose reductase (ALR2) and...
